Most patients aged 16 and above will be able to view new information in their GP record online from the end of October 2023.
Most information added to your GP record from the end of October will be visible, including consultation notes, test results, and letters.
You will be able to view this information using the NHS App or SystmOnline. If you use a third-party app such as Evergreen Life for your GP Online Services, the information will be visible through this.
If you don’t already use the NHS App or SystmOnline, we recommend that you register now for the NHS App. You can do this without leaving your home. You can use the NHS App from a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer. NHS App and SystmOnline are the best ways to order repeat prescriptions and book blood tests.
Most patients will not be able to view information that dates from before the end of October, so at first there will be very little information visible. If you already have some access to existing information in your GP record, you will still be able to see this.
Other people will be able to view information in your GP record if they have access to your phone or your login details. If you are concerned about someone else being able to access your GP record, or if someone is trying to coerce you into sharing your GP record with them, please contact the practice.
Individual items in your GP record can be hidden from online view, such as a consultation, test result or letter. Please inform the practice if you want an item to be hidden from online view.
